A Clinical Audit in the light of Homoeopathic Approach of Atopic Dermatitis in Children: A Randomised, Double-Blind Trial

Atopic dermatitis affects about one-fifth of all individuals during their lifetime, but the prevalence of the disease varies greatly throughout the world. Atopic dermatitis remains a serious health concern, and in many countries. Objectives- To show the effectivness of homoeopathic medicine (50 milisimal scale) in atopic dermatitis in children. Methedology- This is Double-blind randomized Placebo Controled trial was conducted in State Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. A total of 100 participants suffering from Atopic Dermatitis were randomly allocated in two groups of 50 participants. Group A receives Homoeopathic Medicine and Group Placebo for 6 months. The assessment was done at Pre and Post-treatment using a different statistical test like Independent 2 sample T-test at significance level <0.5. Observation- At end of study mean VAS score of homoeopathy group 2.7 and Placebo group 4.58, it shows that homoeopathy group has less Mean VAS score than Placebo group. Two sample independent test shows that homoeopathy group has better result than placebo group in case of atopic dermatitis. Graphitis 0/1 was most commonly used medicine during study. Homoeopathy group shows better result compared to placebo group. Conclusion- At the end of study show that homoeopathic medicine has beeter effect or cure rate than placebo.
